Today is February 14th, you know what this means… Happy Valentine’s Day!
I know that for some of us, Valentine’s Day isn’t exactly happy, it’s just a reminder of how sadly single we are. But let me just say this.
A relationship (or the absence of) doesn’t define you. There is no such thing as finding your “other half.” You are your own, complete and beautyFULL person. Valentine’s Day is not about being a relationship. It’s about celebrating love, purely and simply.
What’s so great about this holiday is that it doesn’t matter where you’re from or what’s your religion. Love is universal. All humans are capable of love, sympathy, kindness… It’s up to us to show it.
Somebody told me recently that “the more love we show, the more love grows” and they were right. You never know what a smile, a hug, a compliment or a simple thank you can do to someone’s day. I really think love can change the world, because it can change people.
So this Valentine’s Day (and every day of the year!) I challenge you to lead with love, unconditionally and selflessly.
I believe in you.
I believe in love.
